Lets talk about bloggers

wordpress, blogging, blogger

Writing is not easy either

In yesterday’s post I talked about a few streamers, and YouTube content creators that I enjoy and watch their videos, and I will get back to them later on in another post. Today I wanted to talk about us Bloggers. I’m not saying video content creation is easy, because it’s not, but even writing is a hard thing too. With writing blogs we research our topics, make little cliff notes, edit, and still edit some more, and even do more research. At least I do I like to be deep into whatever topic I am trying to write. A few years ago I did a lot of research on gaming developers that I thought at the time deserved recognition and some on that list still do, but sadly I don’t remember who all was on it, so I won’t be going that route. As a blogger I felt I did them justice, and brought some new developers into the bloggers reading area, and even gaming. So it does not go without merit that a lot of hard work does go into writing as well. Even authors you read do a lot of research even with fictional things. For me it’s all about giving a lot of detail into what these people do for a living, how many were in their studios when they started, and so forth. So in today’s post I will talk about a few bloggers that once started out as a newbie blogger and has made quite a name for himself. You’ll see in the next paragraph who I will talk about.

He’s known as Magi (Imaged found on pxfuel.com)

Blogger I’ve followed since 2019

Ever since he appeared in Blaugust, and I’ve been reading his blog off and on. Even after I said what I said to him, which over the last few years I realized I need a filter between my brain and mouth because I do have a bad habit of speaking what I think. I know now that was a mean thing to say, and I did end up going back in therapy for a while, but still I followed Magi just in pure silent mode. I’d read his blog, and I always enjoyed his content because he really does put a lot of hard work into his posts. I just let things go, and let everything die down, and then in July of this year I reached out to him and apologized for what happened, and decided that I would refollow him on Twitter, and then add his blog to my email subscriptions and now I get email updates on his blog posts, and I still enjoy his content. So yeah for bloggers I’ll give him a shoutout, if you haven’t ever read any of his stuff. You don’t know what you are missing. His blog is called Indiecator.  He’s a really chill guy, I’m guessing he’s chilled out a lot. I have changed myself over the years, and I guess people do change. I have tried to change into someone better, and from what I’ve seen in the Blaugust Discord, he’s very chill now. I’m just back into my silent mode, and tend to forget I even have discord open as it’s just there in my taskbar and it’s open, but I forget it is there. He’s a really great guy to go and support him on Twitch, YouTube, and his own blog.

The main reason I even do Blaugust

The image above is the reason I do Blaugust, and that is Belghast. He created it 10 years ago and for the last few years I have done it. I believe the only time I didn’t do it was when I wasn’t doing prompts only because it’s not something I really enjoy. I did go and read the blogs that year and enjoyed all the content everyone did, plus I wasn’t being social then either, so I did my own thing with Blaugust, and left it at that. Course now I am back to being silent on social media in general. I know some would find odd, while others would understand. If you are interested in what exactly Blaugust is, and how to sign up, because you still can. Here is the link and all the information for Blaugust. Enjoy, and I don’t what I’ll talk about tomorrow for Creator Week. But still tune in.
